West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics offers an online MS in Business Data Analytics program. What can students expect from the program, and what opportunities will they have to apply their skills using real-world data? We spoke with Dr. Virginia Kleist and Dr. Brad Price to find out.
Dr. Brad Price is an Assistant Professor of Business Data Analytics at WVU. He earned his Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Minnesota. Before joining West Virginia University, Dr. Price served as the Director of the MS in Business Analytics program at the University of Miami, where he won multiple teaching awards. His research focuses on the various business applications of data science, with an emphasis on data mining and machine learning.
Dr. Virginia Kleist is the Chair of the Management Information Systems Department and Professor of MIS within the College of Business and Economics. Dr. Kleist has over 10 years of professional experience working in the telecommunications industry, and she has published her work in numerous professional journals, such as Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Security and Privacy and others. During her time at West Virginia University, Dr. Kleist has won numerous awards, including the College of Business and Economics Outstanding Service Award in 2009.
