Dr. Bei Yu is an associate professor in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Dr. Yu received education and training in multiple disciplines. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, earned a PhD degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science.
Dr. Yu is the faculty lead for the Certificate of Advanced Study in Data Science Program at SU, and is a winner of the IMLS Early Career Award. She enjoys teaching data mining, text mining, and many other data science courses.
