Dr. Piotr Szczurek is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences and the Director of the Online Master of Science in Data Science program at Lewis University. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2012, where he was awarded the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT), funded by the National Science Foundation. His research interests include vehicular ad-hoc networks, machine learning and computational transportation applications.
